Visitor Information

We welcome and encourage families, friends and carers of our patients to visit as they are an important part of the recovery process in hospital. Visitors can help patients recover faster, are an important source of support and can also help reduce their anxiety and stress. However, it is up to the person in hospital to decide if they want visitors. Patients may request no visitors at times, and this will be respected.

Across all our hospitals

Smoking and Alcohol

Please note that smoking and the consumption of alcohol are strictly not allowed anywhere within the hospital or its grounds.

Infection Control- one of our priorities

We maintain strict hygiene standards throughout the hospital to control infection and prevent its spread. Hand-washing is the most effective way to reduce the spread of infection.

How you can help:

  • Using the hand gel available from dispensers positioned at the entrance of all wards
  • Not sitting on the patients’ bed – this provides an ideal opportunity for bacteria to spread

Please do not visit if you have any signs of infection such as diarrhoea, vomiting, fever, a cold, rash or skin infection.
