We are committed to providing you and your family a high level of care, ensuring you feel safe, respected and cared for. We provide a diverse range of care options for women and their families. The options of care available depend on your obstetric or medical health and your personal circumstances and preferences.

Pregnancy is a great time to develop or maintain healthy eating habits. Healthy eating will keep you feeling good and give your baby the essential nutrients they need. Overall, aim for a balanced diet, with a wide variety of nutritious foods.

Childbirth and parenting education sessions

Our childbirth and parenting education sessions are provided for pregnant women and their partner/support person. The sessions are held at Mackay Base Hospital. Various options are available depending on individual needs. Our sessions are free of charge to most women (valid Medicare card needed).
