We provide comprehensive renal services for acute and chronic kidney disease management, peritoneal dialysis, haemodialysis and education and training for home dialysis.
Our Renal Unit is in a new, spacious and modern facility and provides a full range of care in a friendly and supportive environment for people with kidney disease.
We manage 19 dialysis chairs, all with their own television, and we operate six days per week.
Our services include:
• Inpatient care
• Chronic kidney disease management
• End stage renal failure management
• Haemodialysis (acute and chronic, home and hospital based)
• Peritoneal dialysis
• Transplant workup education and follow up
Our healthcare team involves doctors, nurses, dieticians, pharmacists, wound care and diabetes nurses, social workers and psychologists.
We encourage and support dialysis at home where appropriate and educate suitable patients in our Renal Home Therapies Unit.
Renal Home Therapies Unit
The Renal Home Therapies Unit is designed to educate and support all suitable dialysis patients and or their carers/families to dialyse safely and independently in the comfort of their own home. It is located off hospital campus to promote independence in a more community based setting.
Training is offered for peritoneal and home haemodialysis.
