Whitsunday Health Service Community Reference Group
Proserpine Hospital and Cannonvale Community Health Centre are calling for Expressions of Interest for the new Whitsunday Health Service Community Reference Group. The group will provide input into health service planning and delivery for communities in the Whitsundays.
The Community Reference Group will play an important role in connecting the Whitsunday Health Service with the community. Members of the group will participate in a voluntary capacity and provide input and feedback about healthcare by attending quarterly meetings; i.e. four (4) meetings per-year.
Expressions of Interest are sort from individuals and community organisation representatives in the in the Whitsundays and surrounding islands, Midge Point and Proserpine and should also have at least one of the following; an interest in health care, be either a current or past consumer (patient) and/or have a connection to a current or past consumer of the Mackay Hospital and Health Service.
The purpose of the Whitsunday Health Service Community Reference Group is to ensure that various perspectives are considered in health care planning and delivery for the region. Working together with our consumers, communities, people and partners supports us to provide better access to health care services and supports our vision of delivering Queensland’s best rural and regional health care.
